The Carabao Cup (EFL Cup)

Season 2020/21 sees the Carabao Cup (EFL Cup) celebrate its 61st season and is sponsored by Carabao Energy Drinks. The cup competition is open to all English and Welsh clubs participating in the Premier League and the English Football League.

The Carabao Cup features all 92 clubs from the EFL and Premier League in a straight knock-out format across seven rounds, with the semi-finals being played over two legs. The final will be held at Wembley Stadium.

Arsenal in the Carabao Cup

After securing their spot in the last-16 of the Carabao Cup by defeating Nottingham Forest 5-0 at home, Arsenal took on Liverpool at Anfield in the Fourth Round. As they battled it out for their place in the Quarter-Finals, the game resulted in a 5-5 draw with Liverpool winning 5-4 in penalties.
